Sugar and Spice

It is a mellow Monday. Sam had a friend from Preschool over for a play date, so I took advantage of that time and got some housework done.

Socially, Sam has been in a really bad place lately. She is grumpy most of the time and fighting with her brothers way too often. She hasn’t been getting along well with her friends either. I was beginning to think this was her new personality. Today she did really well with her friend. I was relieved to know she still had some sweetness and compromise left in her. After her friend left, I asked her if she had a good time. She replied, “I thought I was going to fight will her, but I didn’t! I started to be mean for a minute, but then I just felt like being nice again.”
