A Visitor

Our long awaited visitor has arrived! The boys have anxiously and not so patiently been looking forward to Jack’s visit. He is a close friend of our’s from Singapore. They are so excited about all the fun they are going to have over the next few days.

It continues to rain and rain and rain here. Jack’s flight was delayed a few hours because of it. He was flying as an unaccompanied minor, so his mother and I were worried about how he would do. Shauna walked him to his gate and watched as the plane pulled out. What she couldn’t see is that the plane taxied around the corner and then sat on the runway waiting for approval from Houston to take off for over an hour. It took so long that the plane had to taxi back over to the hanger and refuel. Finally after a three hour delay, the plane was able to take off. He had a short delay once the plane landed and arrived around 1:45. He seemed pretty happy to see someone he knew when he stepped off the plane.

The boys have been running around all afternoon, playing PS2, watching movies, riding bikes (in between the drizzle), shooting BB guns and trying to avoid the wrath of the four year old sister. Should be a fun weekend!
