Snake Girl

Today was “Take your pet to school day” for Sam. She really wanted to take Murphy, but I wasn’t sure he could be trusted around all those eager children. I opted for the calmer of our two pets and took the snake. I kept the boys home from school for an hour this morning to be the official snake handlers (I am not quite ready to hold him myself). None of the kids seemed phased by a snake in their classroom; some of the teachers reacted quite differently. When Helmut put the snake around Sam’s neck, she looked like she had just won the lottery. She looked cool and she knew it.
